Originally from Chicago, Karl is an LA based Dad, Husband, Photographer and Actor.
Currently, he's protraying Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol in the innaugural production of Sonder Theatre Copmpany at the Covina Center for the Performing Arts.
Previously, he originated the role of Barney Opat in the World Premiere production of Back Porch by Eric Anderson at the Victory Theatre Center in Burbank, CA. Karl also appears as Squeak in the award-winning podcast No Other Way. He's also appeared in episodes of shows such as Men At Work on TBS (also streaming on Amazon Prime), NBC’s Running the Halls, and Saved By The Bell: The New Class; and as Critter in the short film, Nothingman starring Coleman Domingo.
Karl has an extensive theatre background, appearing in productions throughout the country at The Goodman Theatre, Drury Lane Theatre, Playwrights Horizons in New York, Hartford Stage Company, Chicago’s Shakespeare Rep Theatre, and the national tour of Peter Pan with Cathy Rigby and JK Simmons.
Karl's appeared in multiple productions around Los Angeles at The Pantages, Pasadena Playhouse, Sierra Madre Playhouse, The El Portal, Sacred Fools Theatre, The Attic Theatre, Vox Humana Theatre Company and The Odyssey Theatre. Karl earned his BA from Columbia College Chicago and has studied with The Second City and Improv Olympic.
